Assignment background
In the manufacturing process of confectionery and bread, processes such as decorating with icing or chocolate, and filling with jam or syrup are important factors that determine the product’s appearance, taste, and brand value.
However, these materials have high viscosity, and their viscosity fluctuates greatly depending on the temperature and ingredients they contain, making stable application and transfer difficult.
- Difficulty transferring high viscosity materials
Fluidity was easily affected by temperature changes and solid content such as fruit pulp, making it difficult to discharge evenly and prone to unevenness and lumps. This resulted in noticeable inconsistencies in the finished product and caused quality variations. - Maintenance burden due to large number of parts
Conventional dispensers have complex structures, requiring time for disassembly and cleaning, and the cost of replacing parts is high, resulting in a heavy maintenance burden, which results in long downtime and affects productivity. - Coating accuracy and thickness variation
The flow rate control was unstable, resulting in uneven thickness of the coating when decorating biscuits and cakes, which impaired the consistency of appearance and texture, making it difficult to guarantee quality during mass production.
Benefits
- Achieves stable transfer of high viscosity materials
The VHD sanitary dispenser uses a positive displacement “endless piston principle” to achieve stable, pulsation-free dispensing even for highly viscous materials such as jam and chocolate. This allows for uniform application without compromising the properties of the material. This not only results in a beautiful finished product, but also in consistent taste and texture. - Improved maintainability and reduced downtime
The simple structure with few parts makes it easy to disassemble and clean. It also complies with the hygiene management frequently required in food manufacturing sites, and shortening the cleaning process reduces line downtime. As a result, equipment utilization rate and production efficiency have been greatly improved. - High-precision flow control for stable quality
With a dispensing accuracy of ±1%, the line width and thickness can be maintained uniformly even when icing biscuits or coating the surface of cakes with syrup. This stabilizes the appearance quality and reduces rework and waste. Eliminating variations between products also stabilizes the quality provided to consumers. This has also contributed to improving the brand image. - Food safety and compliance with international standards
The VHD series is designed for the food industry and complies with international guidelines such as EHEDG and FDA. It allows for the construction of manufacturing processes that comply with food safety standards even when handling highly viscous ingredients, contributing to ensuring reliability in the global market.
